🌱 About Becoming Families

Becoming Families is a small, community-rooted charity dedicated to supporting families in Worcestershire through postnatal wellbeing groups and peer support services. We believe in the power of connection, compassion, and lived experience to nurture mental health and resilience in early parenthood.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to lead our popular parent/baby groups and postnatal wellbeing support groups. The role also includes working with us to establish further groups in a new area of the County. The successful candidate will deliver groups safely, effectively, and with deep understanding of the challenges faced by families experiencing perinatal emotional wellbeing difficulties.

The Role

  • Facilitation of parent/baby drop-in groups and wellbeing support groups

  • Establishment of additional groups in a new geographical area

  • Working closely with Project Leads and Volunteer Peer Support Coordinator

  • Associated administrative tasks

How to Donate

Time to get sorting! Clear out those outgrown clothes and unwanted gifts to help our "little charity doing big things."

Important: We only accept donations at The Woodpecker (WR7 4QL) on specific dates in the lead up to the sale . We cannot accept donations at the venue on the day of the sale.

We Gratefully Accept:

  • Pregnancy clothing and cushions

  • Baby clothes (Newborn to 2 years)

  • Toys, books, and puzzles

  • Cots, rockers, and highchairs

  • Baby baths and bath seats

  • Snowsuits, puddle suits, and shoes

We Cannot Accept:

  • Socks or soft toys

  • Prams, pushchairs, or car seats

  • Prep machines

We accept both cash and card payments for your convenience.

Do I need to bring anything?

Yes! Please bring your own reusable shopping bags to carry your haul home.

Can I donate items on the day?

No. To ensure we have time to quality-check and price items, all donations must be dropped off at our designated collection point (The Woodpecker) prior to the event.

Where does the money go?

100% of the money raised supports Becoming Families, helping us provide evidence-based education and emotional wellness support to local parents and infants.
