Would highly recommend Becoming Families! Just finished our 6 week course, which due to COVID was done virtually. Had a lovely group and Helen and Jo were fantastic, they provided heaps of information via video content and other sources, and the weekly zoom sessions were great to discuss topics further and get to know everyone in the group! They certainly exceeded our expectations amongst the current situation and we look forward to meeting them properly in the future!
I cannot reccomend these classes enough! Honestly amazing from start to finish!
For anyone thinking of embarking on these classes, I can assure you that you will finish with a head full of knowledge about your birth and life with your baby which leaves you feeling relaxed and at ease ready for the big event.
It is so comforting becoming friends with parents who are going through the same things as you and have similar questions and worries and I know that the people in our group will be friends for a long time to come.
I can’t recommend Jo and Helen highly enough. I did Jo’s Birthlight Yoga class from 20 weeks of pregnancy and loved it. The class is gentle, fun and relaxing but also helps you remain fit and healthy during pregnancy. My husband and I also did the six week Birth Choices course, which we found fun and informative, Jo and Helen teach in a relaxed, informal way but we came away feeling armed with all the knowledge and confidence we needed for birth. We have also made some lovely new friends who have provided invaluable support in the early days and weeks of parenthood, and I’m sure will continue to do so as our babies grow.
Recently attended a two day course including a labour and birth workshop and an Early days/transition to parenthood workshop. Helen have Jo have been nothing but helpful, friendly and accommodating throughout the whole process from enquiry to follow up emails after the course was finished. Highly recommend attending a birth choices course! loads of really useful information and tips! delivered in such a positive and friendly atmosphere. Thank you so much for making me feel confident and well informed to trust my own decisions about birth and parenthood. and for all the tea and biscuits!
The ante-natal course is fantastic: interactive, relaxed, informative and re-assuring.
Jo’s pregnancy yoga is also great: gentle on the late stage pregnant body and very useful to re-iterate positive birth positions.
My husband and I just completed a six week anti-natal course. Which we both very much enjoyed and cannot recommend enough. Due to the current situation we only managed 3 classes in person as they were understandably cancelled because of COVID-19. With this all happening so quickly both Jo and Helen set up a private FB group for our sessions to continue virtually. It was a huge success! We continued to have our weekly meetings with live videos, links, whilst we could ask any questions we wanted. The support and information provided was brilliant! They both went above and beyond! Every day Jo and Helen would post information and answer our questions and still are today for us! We cannot thank them enough. If you are considering this course then we highly recommend! 👍🏻
What a wonderful class! This was my second pregnancy and I did Jo's birthlight yoga and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's relaxing, fun and informative as well as invaluable body preparation for what is about to happen. Jo is kind and supportive which instantly puts you at ease and allows you the 1.5 hours to take time for you and your baby away from the stresses of everyday life to properly relax, even allowing time to nod off under a snuggly blanket if you wish at relaxation time - bliss.
6 weeks ago I was a clueless nervous father-to-be but through the 6 week course Jo and Helen helped ease my worries and answered all my questions. I now feel as ready as I'll ever be for the birth of our first child (and the weeks after) and that's due in no small part to both of them. I would highly recommend to any couple expecting their first child!

The class is friendly and supportive, you meet and chat with other mums-to-be which is great for discussing pregnancy experiences, if you want to, and Jo is so supportive and caring.
It’s a gentle, safe way to maintain fitness during pregnancy. I honestly believe it kept my body strong for labour, helped my baby’s position and gave me the tools and confidence to know I could work through my labour to deliver my baby.
